Dr. Nachum Ulanovsky (Weizmann Institute) and Dr. Yossi Yovel (Tel Aviv University) are joint winners of a special recognition award from the Sieratzki Prize for Advances in Neuroscience with their project Echolocating bats: From brain to behavior. Dr. Ulanovsky was a post-doctoral student with Dr. Cynthia Moss at UMD's Auditory Neuroethology Laboratory (Batlab). The Sieratzki Family and Tel Aviv University award an annual Prize of US $ 15,000 to outstanding young Israeli scientists who have already made a significant impact in the field of Neuroscience. Preference is given to scientists who work in Israel but due consideration is given to scientists currently working abroad.
